SSLES UK Extends Support to Sri Lanka Following Cyclone Ditwah
The Society of Sri Lankan Engineers and Scientists in the United Kingdom (SSLES UK), together with its members, has stepped forward in solidarity with Sri Lanka after the severe devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
A remarkable contribution of GBP 12,800
(over LKR 5 million) has been donated to support urgent relief and recovery efforts.
During a meeting with High Commissioner Nimal Senadheera, SSLES representatives also expressed their readiness to volunteer their professional expertise on the ground in Sri Lanka, offering technical support for rebuilding and recovery whenever required.
The High Commission extends its heartfelt appreciation to all organisations and individuals who have come forward during this critical time.
Your compassion strengthens the bond between Sri Lanka and its global community — and brings hope as the nation begins its journey to recovery.
